Apple Cider Chai Tea Latte

Apple cider combines with warm, comforting chai spices to create a fall favorite beverage topped with steamed, frothy milk and a dash of cinnamon.

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup chai tea concentrate Homemade chai concentrate or store bought chai concentrate
  • 1/3 cup apple cider or apple juice
  • 1/3 cup whole milk or plant-based milk of your choice
  • Optional: Whipped cream and caramel sauce for a special occasion, or just because.

Instructions
 

  • In a medium sized saucepan, heat the chai concentrate and apple cider/ apple juice till they are hot.1/2 cup chai tea concentrate 1/3 cup apple cider or apple juice
  • While those heat up, warm and steam your milk. 1/3 cup whole milk or plant-based milk of your choice
  • Use a frother to froth your milk or plant-based milk alternative.
  • Pour the hot liquid mixture from the saucepan into a mug.
  • Then add the foamy milk into the mug.
  • You can stop there and just sprinkle a bit of cinnamon on top of the milk foam.
  • Alternatively, take it up a notch and finish with whipped cream and a caramel drizzle on top! Optional: Whipped cream and caramel sauce

Other Options to Froth Milk:
    • A Handheld Milk Frother: If you'd like a lower price point, you can use a handheld milk frother. You'll just need to warm your milk in another saucepan.
    • Alternatively you can warm the milk in a separate pan, and whisk it or put it into a mason jar with a lid and shake it to make it foam.
Each Chai concentrate and apple cider/ apple juice mixture has varying amounts of spices and sweetness.
Adjust to taste based on your personal preference and, add some additional spices
 if you'd like!
To make a Dirty Apple Cider Chai Latte, add a shot or two of espresso. Starbucks uses its blonde roast in its fall specialty drinks.
